ACES Set to Expand its Electronics Recycling Program
On February 1, 2009, the Atlantic Canada Electronic Stewardship (ACES) Program will expand to include additional regulated electronic products that will be banned from Nova Scotia’s landfills.
The Environmental Handling Fees (EHFs) for the expanded list of electronics products are now established and have been approved by Nova Scotia Environment. Effective February 1, 2009, these fees will be charged on all new products and are formulated to reflect the true cost of collection, transportation and responsible recycling.
